| Paul's family sent us an amaryllis bulb. Paul planted it, yes in the middle of winter, and we watched it grow! What fun! Paul's gardening skills are great! He has the green thumb! |

| A few weeks later! The flower is in full bloom! Good thing we took this picture, because a few days later it was in full wilt! God also gave us a gift of new life (our baby) but he/she will not bloom until about August 5th! |

| Surprise! On Christmas morning Mom and Dad Bird found out that they are going to be grandparents in the beginning of August! At first Dad thought it was a wedding photo album. Lydia told him to look a little closer! |

| Of course, "Aunt Lydia" was surprised also! We called Mom and Dad Sondergaard the same day to announce the news. The last gift they opened from us was a baby book for Grandma and Grandpa Sondergaard! :) |
